Magda Gregorova

Bio

Magda Gregorova is a member of the data mining and machine learning team of Mr. Kalousis in the Department of Business Informatics of the University of Applied Sciences-Western Switzerland, Geneva, as a research and teaching assistant. After graduating from a Master's program in statistics at the University of Economics in Prague in 2001, Magda followed a career of an applied statistician gaining substantive practical experience in tackling real-life problems and engaging with experts from other domains. Her work experience includes the statistical departments of the Czech and the European Central Banks, and EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. In 2013, Magda has decided to shift her career towards machine learning and currently pursues a PhD programme in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Geneva.

Research

She focuses on structured sparsity and kernel methods.
